Celebrating Community Spirit: TPS Successful Kiltwalk

Written by David Thomson | 7/24/24 3:12 PM

The Thomson Partnership team and family recently participated in the 2024 Kiltwalk, raising just under £1,000 for the Grampian MS Therapy Centre. This incredible achievement highlights the collective effort and dedication of our team and their families, who walked from Aberdeen to Banchory to support this vital cause.

The Event: Kiltwalk 2024

The Kiltwalk is a unique Scottish charity event that allows participants to raise funds for a charity of their choice. This year’s event saw thousands of walkers don their kilts and take on the scenic route from Aberdeen to Banchory, covering a distance of approximately 26 miles. The walk is not only a physical challenge but also a celebration of community spirit and support for local causes.

Our Cause: Grampian MS Therapy Centre

Located in Dyce, Aberdeen, the Grampian MS Therapy Centre provides essential services and support to individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The centre offers a range of therapies designed to improve the quality of life for MS patients, including physiotherapy, oxygen therapy, and emotional support. Thomson Partnership has a long-standing relationship with the centre, and we are proud to continue our support through events like the Kiltwalk.

The Importance of Community Support

Supporting our local community is at the heart of Thomson Partnership’s values. We believe in giving back to the community that has supported us over the years. Participating in the Kiltwalk and raising funds for the Grampian MS Therapy Centre is one of the many ways we strive to make a positive impact.

Events like the Kiltwalk bring people together for a common cause, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose. The funds raised through these efforts help local charities continue their invaluable work, providing services and support to those in need. For the Grampian MS Therapy Centre, the nearly £1,000 raised by our team will go towards enhancing their therapy programs and supporting more MS patients in the Aberdeen area.

Looking Forward

As we continue to support our local community, we look forward to participating in more events and initiatives that make a difference.

Thank you to everyone who supported our Kiltwalk team and helped us raise these crucial funds. Your generosity and encouragement mean the world to us and to the Grampian MS Therapy Centre.
